Retirement Horse Care
For the safety of the retirement horses already resident at Goodmerry, we check any new horse’s heart-rate and respiration on arrival and send a sample of dung for worm-egg lab testing. If all is well, we establish the new arrival with at least one compatible grazing companion and, according to each owner’s wishes, can turn in and out and feed according to weather and individual needs. If the owners wish their resting or retired horses can live out the majority of the time on an average of one to four acres each.

Horse Transportation
IT'S NOW A LEGAL REQUIREMENT THAT HORSES ARE PASSPORTED BEFORE TRANSPORTATION
There are several horse transportation firms within close range of Goodmerry. All have new, international specification lorries with close circuit TV for viewing the horses as they travel. They're able to accommodate most dates and arrangements and their charges are very competitive.

Terms
Livery prices start from £35.00/week which covers stabling, grazing, turn-out, hay, haylage, straw, most feed and all care. Not included in this monthly price is;

• worming
• farriery
• vet bills

We prefer that these are sent to you and paid direct.
